Contributions made locally are utilized locally to:

• Prepare candidates through Candidate Development Programs
• Provide direct and in-kind candidate support
• Execute voter activities: Get Out the Vote program, voter registration, polling, literature
• Coordinate Candidate Forums
• Facilitate Party Programs & Operations:
• Organize events such as McKinley Banquet, Finance Dinner, Candidate Forums and the Holiday Reception to mobilize the party base, provide for business networking, and hear from state and national elected officials and political operatives
• Update members with the latest news and information in the monthly newsletter “The Voice”

• A countywide race can cost in excess of $100,000.
• One countywide candidate mailer sent to Republican households costs approximately $15K.
• It costs $1500 to produce one-30 second television commercial and $1000 to air for one week.
• The average cost to post one billboard is $850 per month.
• A 60 second radio announcement costs $100 to air one time on one radio station.

A recent change in the Ohio Campaign Finance law permits corporations to contribute up to $10,000 annually to a County Party organization. With the new law effective April 2005, the Stark GOP is reaching out to corporations asking for assistance to help to carry out the Party’s mission and advance Republican philosophies of less government, lower taxes.
